Why Bananas and Coffee?

It's Healthy! (sort of)
According to Luke Mortensen, Professor of Physiology-Pharmacology at Des Moines University:

As a banana consumer, you are significantly decreasing your risk for developing cardiovascular disease by lowering your risk of hypertension. Potassium, from bananas, is helping you here.

As a coffee consumer, you are also lowering your risk of morbidity and mortality, although this cannot be attributed to caffeine since decaf drinkers also reap the same benefits. Keep in mind, however, that excess caffeine consumption (more than 250 mg/day) may negate your banana benefit to cardiovascular health and may actually increase your risk of high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack and atherosclerosis.
